Chrysobéryl

Chrysoberyl is a natural gemstone known for its great hardness, high brilliance and remarkable gemmological properties. Composed of beryllium aluminium oxide (BeAl2O4), it reaches 8.5 on the Mohs scale, giving it excellent resistance to wear and scratching.

Prized for its vivid brilliance and varied colours — from pale yellow to deep green, with golden shades in between — chrysoberyl also occurs in rare and sought-after varieties such as alexandrite and cat's eye.
